Carandini's story is as old as the story of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Since 1641, the finest vinegar has carried the surname Carandini, one of the oldest noble families of Modena. Its health-giving properties and distinctive, bittersweet, balanced and harmonious flavour are the result of a long tradition handed down from generation to generation. From Antonio to Giuseppe, to Bianca and Emilio, the ancient craft has been handed down from father to son.

Antonio Carandini is mentioned for his outstanding skills in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

1863

Carlo Carandini exhibited a Balsamic Vinegar aged 360 years at the Modena Agricultural exposition.

1900

Giuseppe Carandini added new barrels to the collection of the Carandini family.

1988

Emilio Carandini founds in Castelnuovo Rangone (MO), Acetificio Carandini Emilio S.r.l.

1996

e company becomes the rst in the market to produce Organic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI and Organic Wine Vinegar.

1999

Acetificio Carandini Emilio begins producing Private Labels.

2002

Carandini expands the production facility in Castelnuovo Rangone, adding an additional 1500 square meters to the plant.

2003

Acetificio Carandini Emilio introduces innovative products such as Balsamic Vinegar Glazes and new condiments.

2004

Carandini renovates the production facility by automating the production lines.

2009

The European Union offcially recognizes Balsamic Vinegar of Modena as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) product through Decree No. 583/2009.

2016

A second production facility in Scandiano (RE) is purchased.

2017

To better support its commercial presence in America, Carandini USA Inc. is established.

2018

Carandini launches a new market image aer a rebranding project led by the Landor Agency.

2020

Carandini wins Best Pack 2019 Award at the ADI Packaging Design Award.

2022

In May 2022, Carandini launches the new 100% RPET packaging for its 250ml glazes.
